Morrisons is a large supermarket chain and had a project to devolve pricing decisions from a national level to a regional or branch level. The development team for the project was based offshore, whilst the test team was based onshore.
The brief for the project was:
- Managing a team of six junior testers in the testing of the new system, writing and executing scripts for manual testing, functional testing, and regression testing based on requirements,
- Creation of test data for use in product price adjustment testing processes, and modification of the test data for different scenarios.
- Production of test progress reports for departmental directors.
- Planning future activities with departmental directors.
